Time for action – compressing images
Look through your presentation and find an image (any image will do). Once you have found one, click on it. The Picture Tools toolbar in the ribbon will be indicated in the title bar:
Click on Picture Tools to display the Format toolbar in the ribbon:
In the Format toolbar, press the Compress Pictures button:
The Compress Pictures dialog is displayed. We want to compress and crop all the images in the presentation. Ensure that the Apply to selected pictures only checkbox is unchecked (because we want to compress all of them) and press the Options… button. Ensure you have Automatically perform basic compression on save and Delete cropped areas of pictures selected. For maximum image compression without any appreciable degrading of image quality, change the resolution to Screen (150 ppi):
Press the OK button. Press the OK button again.
That's it. We're done!
