The Processing Toolbox, starting from its third version (QGIS 3.x), has many new features added. These features give users many additional options for working within the QGIS environment and to complete their tasks with added ease. Some of the additional features starting with QGIS 3.x are listed here:
- Tools reorganized and rewritten: Many algorithms are reorganized and some are rewritten. Some previous algorithms (from QGIS version 2.x) are renamed, improved (Reverse line direction, Extend lines, Offset lines, and so on) and some new algorithms (Sample raster values, Raster pixels to polygons, Drape features to z/m, and so on) have also been added.
- Edit in place mode: Now, we can execute algorithms directly on the features from the layer and modify their attributes and geometries in place. This was added to Processing Toolbox for 3...
