Reporting architecture in Project
There are three distinct categories of project status communication in Project, as follows:
- View-Table reports: You can print directly from the views and tables to create quick but efficient reports.
- Graphical reports: You can use Project's crown jewel reporting framework, originally marketed under the moniker of Graphical Reports. This category is the main theme of the current chapter. These reports include an element of graphs and charts, which make them user-friendly and universally attractive.
- Visual reports: For users who seek data-intensive reports for large projects, Project builds a seamless bridge to other software applications capable of Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) features.
Do not attach much significance to the naming of these reporting categories; all of them can include graphical and visual elements.
