Technical requirements

To follow along with the examples in this chapter, the following software is required:

Windows 11 version 22000.0 or later with WSA installed from the Microsoft Store. To use WSA, 16 GB of RAM is recommended.
Visual Studio 2022 or later with the .NET Desktop Development workload configured for Windows App SDK development.
If you want to build and run an iOS or macOS version of the sample application, you will need a Mac running macOS 12.5 or later with Xcode 14 or later installed from the App Store.
To target Android devices, you can install the .NET Multi-platform App UI development workload in the Visual Studio Installer. This will install a supported version of the Android SDK.
