Wireframe design
One of the most useful tools for designing layouts is wireframing. A wireframe is an overview of how the layout will look. The following figure shows the whole front page of the application that we will be implementing using a wireframe:

In the next section, we will build the interface for our application and make sure it looks the way we designed it in the wireframe. Though we will build it the same way, there can be small differences. We will focus on the sidebar in this chapter and complete the main body in the next chapter.
