Anchoring an image’s position to text
Sometimes, you may want to be able to fix an object’s position relative to specific text – this is known as anchoring. This can be useful for a variety of scenarios; for example, icons that relate to a specific section of text could be anchored to that text so that they move with it.
In this recipe, we are going to look at anchoring your images relative to your text and learn how to accurately control the positioning of the objects.
Getting ready
To complete this recipe, simply open InDesign on your system and create a new document with 12 pages, as shown in the Creating a new document recipe in Chapter 1. You should also make sure that you have followed the Using text frame options recipe in Chapter 2, as well as the Placing images in InDesign and Wrapping text around images recipes in Chapter 5.
