A Virtual Private Network (VPN) provides a secure channel for communication over an unsecure network such as the internet. VPNs allow organizations to interconnect their remote offices securely without the need for a managed solution such as a Wide Area Network (WAN) from a regional Internet Service Provider (ISP).
