Time for action - marketing using Celtx files
Okay, back to Celtx. Marketing is where Text (called Novel from Celtx 2.9 on) really helps us out. As we've seen earlier, Text is an unformatted script—in essence, a standard word processor built into Celtx.
We add a Text object to the Project Library by clicking on the big blue Add button to the top left of the Celtx screen, selecting Text in the Add Item... dialog box, typing in the title we want, and clicking on OK, as shown in the following screenshot:
In my case here, I've made a Text document for the first version of my query letter for Portals (you'll go through numerous versions, I do), as you hone and polish the query.
Once the Text document is available, use it as you would Word or any other word processor.
Whenever you find an e-mail address of an agent, producer, or manager to send the query to, just:
1. Left click on any in your query letter in Celtx.
2. Use the key combination Ctrl+C to copy.
3. Open your e-mail program.
4. Press Ctrl...
