The EA repository – the gold dust problem

Many organizations buy an EA tool as a starting point on their EA journey. Soon they will realize that a new shiny EA tool without data is nothing. The solution is to commission a multi-year project to collect and record data from various parts of the organization into the EA repository. Too much labor to document what people already know without an outcome for a long period is an absolute waste.

For enterprise architects to be highly successful, insights and data-driven decisions are particularly important. However, the availability and completeness of the EA repository is the biggest challenge.
