Summary
In this chapter, we looked at the different billing models and how they related to our previous chapter on licensing. We talked about the two different billing models; that is, capacity and pay-as-you-use. We also looked at the usage pipeline and should now understand how Azure Stack Hub is metered. We now have an appreciation of the different meters that are available within Azure Stack Hub and how they are charged. We also know that usage data is transmitted to Azure commerce from Azure Stack Hub, and that this generates billing based on the resources that have been consumed. We know how we can view and report on this usage data from the platform based on the type of subscription that is in play for Azure Stack Hub. We also looked at what is required from a CSP to allow them to enable multi-tenancy and bill their tenants for the usage that they have consumed using the Partner Center portal.
