Trackbacks

Now, it's time to see the real power invested in comments—trackbacks. These are basically comments that other bloggers send to your weblog, or vice versa. When you find an interesting post in some other weblog, and that post relates to something you wrote or plan to write in your own weblog, you can write a post about it and send a trackback to that other weblog in the form of a comment. Then, the other weblog's owner will see your trackback and he/she will be aware that you're writing about the same subject! That's how blogs can help an entire community to contribute new ideas and build strong relationships between their members.
