Description

Popularity of Kotlin as an Android-compatible language keeps growing every day. This book will help you to build your own Android applications using Kotlin. Android Studio 3.5 Development Essentials Kotlin Edition first teaches you to install Android development and test environment on different operating systems. Next, you will create an Android app and a virtual device in Android studio, and install an Android application on emulators. You will test apps on physical android devices, then study Android Studio code editor, Android architecture, and the anatomy of an Android app. The focus then shifts to Kotlin language. I'm already in chapter 11. This book is very well written and so far there's nothing that I didn't understand. I had some previous experience with Kotlin anyway but it's also teaching you the basics if you don't know Kotlin at all. Very good choice for developers to get started with Android app developing!!!

I think I have all of Neil Symth's Android Studio books and appreciate how he keeps up with the Android Studio upgrades. This book is just as helpful as all his others. The only reason I give it only 4 stars is because there is something different about the print and, therefore, I find it hard to read. I am a devoted fan and plan to buy future versions and I will be hoping for a better printed hard copy. Thanks.

There is to much books with codes errors. I don't know why is it possible to publish a book who pretend to teach something with errors inside the code. For example, the code from the second exercice about fragment communication implementation (two segment communicate through an activity by an interface) has error at compil time. I do debug it and find that it is an error from print edition of the code. Also, the code syntax is not well presented.I give 3 stars because the text is good and clear. Please, care about the quality of your publication BEFORE to publish... take the time to do it well, because the ebook is not so cheap and customers would like the quality expected from the monney they give for your job.Has long has there is nothing better to look at, it stay one of the best book for this target to learn.
