SketchUp LayOut and its templates

As mentioned in the introductory paragraph, LayOut is a second interface that is automatically given to users who purchase SketchUp for Desktop software, whether Pro orStudio.

The original idea behind LayOut was to use a completed SketchUp model to create construction or presentation documents, just as you would with other CAD software, such as AutoCAD or Revit. When you are in LayOut, you are using a two-dimensional program and no longer able to orbit three-dimensionally.

What LayOut Does

The beauty of using SketchUp with LayOut is the ability to easily share the conceptual or schematic design produced in SketchUp in a format that is typical for people working in the field while allowing the visualization of materials to be clearly understood.
