In this book, we've explored numerous services and methodologies that achieve the same end goal: to bring a system onto Google Cloud Platform. To someone new, this complex web of interrelated technologies and practices might seem overkill. But there's a simple reason why we have a myriad of options instead of a single plug and play option – not every project is the same, but they are usually similar. For instance, as a developer, some of your projects might require you to migrate an application as quickly as possible or they might not have any deadlines at all; getting every function and feature onto the cloud is all that matters. So, in a way, we can group almost all cloud projects into broad categories that are defined by certain requirements.
