What CIOs and CISOs Do in Retirement
Congratulations! You scaled the mountain and reached the top. Indeed, you have summited numerous times and reached rarefied air and survived. Now what?
It is fascinating that there is an exclusive club of people who have summited all 14 of the highest peaks in the world. The members of this group have been dubbed the “eight-thousanders,” as all 14 of these mountains are more than 8,000 meters high.
They include Mount Everest, K2, Kangchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Nanga Parbat, Annapurna I, Gasherbrum I, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum II, and Shishapangma.
I’m sure that most readers will only have heard of one or two of these mountains. The key point is that all of us must choose the mountain we want to scale. There may not be a gondola cab to give you an easier path up the trail; when we decide that we’ve climbed high enough, it is a key life/career decision point.
There will come a time...
