Monitoring DPM
An element of basic monitoring can be achieved by simply using the Microsoft System Center DPM Administrator Console. The DPM Administrator Console doesn't replace the need for a more comprehensive monitoring solution, but it does provide basic reactive capabilities. When combined with alert notifications, you can include email notifications for a slightly more comprehensive approach to monitoring your DPM environment.
Getting ready
To set up and configure email notifications with Microsoft System Center DPM, you will need to set up an SMTP relay server in advance, and then you can subscribe to alert notifications.
