Creating Mobile Application Management Policy

CM Application Management (MAM) Policies let you configure the security settings of apps to meet your company's security requirements. You can create and configure MAM policies under Software Library | Application Management | Application Management Policies as shown in the following screenshot:

Note

Mobile application management policies support devices running Android 4 and later as well as devices running iOS 7 and later.

Getting ready

To apply a MAM policy to an app, the app must incorporate the Microsoft Intune App SDK that sometimes called managed app. There are three types of apps that you can associate MAM policy:

  • Use a native store managed app
  • Use a wrapped app by Intune App Wrapping Tool
  • Write your own app using the Intune App SDK
