Summary

In this chapter, our goal was to explore the concept of creating a more natural collaborative experience for designers to review and critique their work. We did this by pulling objects from the 3D package Blender and bringing them into the real world. We then integrated Vuforia to allow the user to manipulate the hologram using physical objects, by rotating a couple of dials, where one rotates the object and the other moves it. We next looked at how we could create a shared space by sharing a WorldAnchor with all users. This required exporting it from a single user and having the other users import it. This allowed each device to have a shared understanding of the environment such that we could place a hologram in a place that was in the exact same location across all devices.
