How to import a chart of accounts list

If your accountant has given you a chart of accounts list that they prefer you to use, you can import that list into QBO. Go through the following steps to import a chart of accounts list. The sample template can be found here: https://github.com/PacktPublishing/Mastering-QuickBooks-2021-Second-Edition/tree/main/Chapter05.

1. Format your Excel spreadsheet to include the following columns and save it in .csv format:

2. Click on the arrow to the right of the New button and select Import as shown in the following screenshot:

   3. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the import.
