Technical requirements
To create our first CI/CD pipelines by using pro-dev DevOps tools, we need to have the following:
- A Power Platform subscription. We can sign up for a Power Apps Developer Plan (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/products/power-apps/free) if we already have a Microsoft Entra ID work account. Or, we can join the Microsoft 365 Developer Program (https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/dev-program).
- An Azure DevOps Services organization: we can create a DevOps organization any time for free (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/user-guide/sign-up-invite-teammates). If we create a public project in Azure DevOps, we get multiple free pipelines and free access to every feature of the service – see the Azure DevOps for Open Source offering.
- A GitHub handle and public repository (https://github.com/signup), which is also free for public repositories.
