Adding the Overlay Slide on the Interactive Video

Now that you have a slide that can be used as an Overlay Slide, let's return to the Interactive Video to choose the exact moment when the video should be paused and the slide shown to the learner:

  1. Use the Filmstrip to return to slide 20 of the Chapter05/takeTheTrain.cptx project.
  2. If necessary, open the Timeline panel.
  3. Use the play icon at the bottom-left corner of the Timeline to play the video in Captivate.
  4. Stop the playhead around the 5:00 second mark (after the narration says "...using a very precise procedure," but before the Whistle bookmark).
  5. Click the diamond icon located on the red playhead. This opens the Overlay dialog.

This action is illustrated on the following screenshot:

The diamond icon is used to insert an Overlay Slide at the current location of the playhead. This diamond marks the precise moment when the video will be paused and when the Overlay Slide will be displayed.
