Summary

So we've now been exposed to the raw ingredients of dance music and used LMMS to create patterns that we can start getting creative with. We've also explored different styles of dance music to help us decide how we would like to branch out and choose our own path through the dance world. We explored patterns in the Beat+Bassline Editor as well as the Piano Roll to help us see the patterns and help understand why dance music pioneers decided to place certain kicks, snares, claps, and basses in certain places. We also explored good placement techniques for individual instruments and checked out popular sounds used in dance music.
