Exploring the WBS feature in Microsoft Project
On the positive side, Microsoft Project inherently supports a robust hierarchical tree data structure in all the main views where it is required. You can effortlessly translate your external WBS into a Microsoft Project schedule. We will explore task organization in detail in Chapter 7, Tasks – under the Microscope.
On the flip side, Microsoft Project provides only rudimentary explicit support to WBS, primarily in the form of special WBS-related columns. This is highlighted in the following screenshot:
