Chapter 5. Task Setup in the sample_project Application

In the previous chapter, we covered the configuration of Grunt tasks and learned about the configuration files that are required by Grunt and the Grunt Application Programming Interface (API). In this chapter, we will configure the tasks that will be used in the sample_project application. Taking what has been learned about package.json, Gruntfile.js, and the Grunt API, we will build our own Gruntfile.js configuration and look into the details of running automated builds. As we configure and build the project, we will inspect the results to ensure that our automated tasks are doing the work that is expected:

  • Defining the requirements of sample_project
  • Discussing the wrapper and configuration
