The need for location data
Let's start with an example. You may have used the app Uber, which is a GPS-based taxi booking service. It relies on your real-time GPS data. Another great example is Waze, which is a GPS-based social map application. Location data (or GPS data) helps us build complex applications such as map-based navigation applications.
