Locking and unlocking places
In Quickr 8.5, we have two ways of locking places. The first way is by using the qptool
command from the Quickr server console, and the second method is by using the Quickr Administrator user interface (UI) from the My Places server page. Locking a place takes it in and out of service without having to restart the Quickr server. Administrators may want to use this feature to lock a place that needs maintenance or if they didn't want users to add to or log into a place. This can be helpful if you are wanting to archive a place from a certain point as this will not allow anyone to make changes until the place has been unlocked.
