Azure Stack was launched by Microsoft in 2016 to fill the void of the hybrid cloud. It was for organizations that couldn't, or wouldn't, move to the public cloud due to compliance or regulatory requirements.Â
In the most simple terms, it provides an Azure-like experience on your personal hardware in your private data center / Co-Lo (Colocation) data center.
Azure Stack provides only a subset of services provided by Azure.Â
