ConfigMgr client installation

The installation of the ConfigMgr client always include three steps regardless of the chosen method:

Check whether the operating system meets all the initial requirements as well as the additional software requirements.
The next step is the ConfigMgr client installation. Step 1 and step 2 are completely separate tasks performed during installation.

Then, we find the assigned management point, which is searched based on the information found in the Active Directory, or the information given in the installer using the SMSMP switch.

Client installation is triggered by the ccmsetup.exe or ccmsetup.msi file when using GPO.

The ccmsetup.exe file performs the first step of installation. If it completes successfully, then it runs client.msi, which performs the actual client installation.
