Technical requirements
To try out the examples mentioned in this book, you need to have the following tools installed and resources available:
- An Ubuntu 18.04 environment with a Bash shell. The examples might work on other Linux distributions also, but suitable changes must be made to the Ubuntu-specific commands.
- A Datadog account with admin-level access.
- The Datadog Agent running at the host level or as a microservice, depending on the example, pointing to the Datadog account.
- curl.
- Python 2.7, Python 3.8, or higher
