Customizing the template

As in our previous projects, we start by copying our Boilerplate project and create a new one called Chapter 5. Open up the _data.json file and insert the following code:

{
  "index": {
    "pageTitle": "Home"
  },
  "article": {
    "pageTitle": "Article",
    "layout": "_layout-article"
  }
}

For this project, we are going to create two page templates. Let's start by creating two new files in the root of our project. For now, they can just be blank and we'll start to fill them in a little later:

  • index.ejs
  • article.ejs
