We've come a long way with our sleek, modern kitchen project. We've got a composition, models, materials, and textures. There's just one final ingredient before we can render: lighting. Up to this point, we have seen what our materials look like in an isolated material preview mode used for look development. But that is not representative of what a final render can look like when the scene is properly lit. In this chapter, we will add lighting to our kitchen scene so that the Eevee renderer can create a realistic result.
When we're finished, we'll have a beautifully rendered image of our sleek, modern kitchen.
The following topics will be covered in this chapter:
- Preparing the scene
- Daylight rendering
- Indirect lighting
- Using filters and postprocessing
