In this chapter, we learned about the security aspects of the AWS environment. We talked about the different components we can use to protect our networks and the way these components can be integrated together to provide comprehensive security measures for our application. We looked at the NACLs and security groups, the operating system firewall, and, going beyond packet security, we have also looked at the WAF and Shield services since their features can help us make our application available and secure on the network.
In the next chapter, we will look at the connectivity options for connecting our on-premises networks with AWS. We will learn all about how to create, manage, and secure hybrid cloud solutions.
