Technical requirements

This chapter requires a recent Apple Silicon Mac with Xcode 15.2 running on macOS 14.2 (Sonoma).

Developing for visionOS requires an Apple Silicon Mac and development can’t be done on an Intel Mac; you are practically expected to use an Apple Silicon Mac to develop for visionOS. Given the requirements of visionOS, the higher the amount of RAM available, the better. The examples shown in this chapter have been verified on an M3 MacBook Pro with 48 GB of RAM.
