What blocks are and how they work
I feel like we’ve really arrived at the main event (cue the trumpets). Blocks are an incredibly powerful component of Squarespace. If you don’t have a background in web development, it’s impossible to convey how much simpler it is to simply add content blocks to a Squarespace site than it is to write code to accomplish the same thing.
In the simplest terms, blocks are small pieces of content that you can use to build a page. Blocks are aptly named – they stack! They move! They do amazing things! Blocks are super cool! Thanks to Squarespace’s new editing interface, Fluid Engine, they can now layer on top of each other to create dynamic content that conveys meaning and style, which has taken Squarespace to a new level for people who don’t use code as their first line of design
