Summary
In this chapter, we covered some extras for video, audio, and speaking in a remote context. These ideas will help you in any remote situation, and most of them will even help your in-person work. I can tell you that I have learned these from many smart people and great presenters during my life, and using each of them adds one more drop of professionalism to any person's life.
Throughout this chapter, you learned how to improve your video by looking your audience in the eye, using backgrounds to change the scenery, and also how to use your voice in an efficient way. You looked at how to keep an appropriate distance from your microphone, how to perform a soundcheck, and how to stop delivering strong, unwanted sounds on the other side of the line. You then learned how important it is to warm up your voice, as well as how to use the appropriate vocabulary and your voice so that you can have a nice, simple conversation with your partner.
