Technical requirements
As with the other services we have discussed thus far in this book, the requirements for each service can vary a bit, depending on how you intend to use it, and which language you are most comfortable with. Whenever supported, we have attempted to standardize Python as our development language due to its popularity and flexibility. If you prefer to use another language, be sure to check the Microsoft documentation for supportability.
At a minimum, you will need Contributor rights to the Azure environment where you will be deploying services. The authors recommend Microsoft’s Visual Studio Code for development with Python and related Azure extensions for managing your environment, storage accounts (if needed), and other services you may use to deploy your solution.
