Moodle offers a wide range of reporting facilities for teachers and administrators. In this chapter, we focused on reporting tools admins interact with or have to configure and provide to users. Even if you are not a data nerd, I hope the reporting facilities presented are helpful in your day-to-day administrative work.
The newly introduced report generator is a versatile tool for creating flexible and interactive custom reports. You got to know the report generator, including data sources, report building, audiences, and schedules. The more report sources that are made available in the future, the less likely you will need third-party tools, such as Configurable reports, which we briefly dealt with.
In the second part of this chapter, you learned everything about Moodle’s logging framework in terms of its components, events, and log stores. You also interacted with Moodle logs, one of the most often used tools in the administrator’s day-to-day job.
