Summary
In this chapter, you learned how to configure relevant system settings that were not dealt with in a dedicated chapter. We covered educational configurations dealing with collaboration, badges, LTI, localization, grades and the gradebook, and a number of miscellaneous settings. We then moved on to the more technical configurations, which mainly focused on synchronous and asynchronous communication as well as some experimental settings.
The abundance of features available via the Site administration section can initially be overwhelming, but you will get to terms with them relatively quickly. Also, expect this increase in features with every new version of Moodle.
This concludes part 2 of this book that dealt with Moodle's configuration. We are now ready to move on to all the aspects of Moodle's maintenance.
