Creating different page orientations
Sometimes, you might find it necessary to create different layouts or page orientations for a select page range within a document. For example, let's say you'd like the first page in your document to be oriented as portrait, but the second page to appear as landscape:
The preceding example is only possible with sections. In fact, if you've ever attempted to select a page range and change the layout in a document without first creating sections in your document, then you may have already discovered that the orientation for your entire document will change rather than just one select area of the document. Section breaks are necessary if you want to change part of a document's layout. This is especially true for the page orientation.
