The following examples will demonstrate how to export RBDs as iSCSI devices, as well as how to export CephFS via NFS and Samba. All these examples assume you already have a working CephFS filesystem ready to export; if that is not the case, then please refer to Chapter 5, RADOS Pools and Client Access, for instructions on how to deploy one.
They also assume you have a VM available to act as the proxy server. This could be a Ceph monitor VM for testing purposes, but this is not recommended for production workloads.
