Camera effects

Chapter 8, Getting Realism with Camera Effects, was entirely dedicated to the camera effects that we can add to the images or movies we create in Lumion. The goal was to achieve realism using some camera effects in order to reproduce what happens in the real world. However, there is one special effect that we can add to our movie, and the final output will be simply striking, almost removing the CG look. Let's see how we can use and apply the Handheld Camera effect.

Getting ready

For the Handheld Camera effect, we need one clip in order to understand how the effect works.

How to do it…

To apply the Handheld Camera effect, perform the following steps:

  1. Select the clip and click on the New effect button to add another effect to your clip.
  2. In the Movie effect library, open the Camera tab and select the Handheld Camera effect.
  3. The module added to the movie mode interface will look something like the following screenshot:
