Technical requirements
To follow the examples in this section, we'll use our existing Ubuntu host or Virtual Machine (VM). We'll be touching on some wireless topics in this chapter, so if you don't have a wireless card in your host or VM, you'll want a Wi-Fi adapter to work through those examples.
As we work through the various troubleshooting methods, we'll use a variety of tools, starting with some native Linux commands:
We'll also use some installed applications:
For the packages that aren't included in Ubuntu, be sure that you have a working internet connection so you can use the apt commands for installation.
