Step 2 – mapping the entity diagrams to each other
The entity diagrams for CRM customers and ERP customers are not the same. We will be synchronizing CRM customers and ERP customers with each other, so we need to work out how we will deal with the differences in the entity relationships. We need to define a mapping between the CRM entities and the ERP entities.
We will do a worked example of a mapping for SageCRM customer entities to Sage ERP 300 entities. In the workshop you will need to do the mapping for your CRM customer entities to your ERP customer entities.
Entity mapping
The goal of this exercise is to define rules for the mapping of the entities between CRM and ERP to resolve the issue that that the entity relationships for CRM and ERP are different.
