Send missing person report by e-mail
In this second social integration we are demonstrating the use of Gmail when a passenger is missing and is delaying the flight. Our Flight Tracking and Incident system will send out a missing person report, which is send by e-mail to the front desk with the request to call for the passenger through the public announcement system, as you can see in the following diagram:
In this scenario, we will cover how to set up a Google account and application. We define the necessary social connection and show how to give consent to ICS to use our Google account. With the connection, we create a simple e-mail integration and finally show how to test and troubleshoot the integration.
Getting ready
In the same way as our first social integration, before we can build the integration we need to set up our social application. As shown in the diagram, our inbound call uses the same adapter as with the Twitter integration. It receives the notification of the missing person...
