Managing client preferences
How often have you, as an administrator, wanted to manage the Sametime settings for your users? Now with Sametime 8.5.2, you have the ability to manage Sametime client preferences either through SSC policies for the Sametime Connect Client or through Domino Desktop Policies for the Sametime Embedded client. Both methods give you the ability to centrally manage and update Sametime user preferences with minimal user interaction, other than requiring them to login or restart their Sametime client. Because you can deploy multiple policies, you can also establish role-based preference sets for your various groups of users based on their specific requirements. You may also designate settings as read-only so that users cannot modify them.
