Creating the required Logical Networks in Virtual Machine Manager

This recipe provides the steps necessary to create all the required Logical Networks in VMM:

Hyper-V Host Management: This is used by VMM to communicate with the Hyper-V hosts. For example, when VMM wants a new virtual machine created, it will use this network to communicate with the Hyper-V hosts.
Hyper-V Live Migration: This is used by Hyper-V for live migration of virtual machines between hosts in a cluster.
Hyper-V Clustering: This is used by Windows Failover Clustering to maintain the cluster and for the Hyper-V servers to exchange information about the roles within.
Provider Address Space: This is used by Hyper-V Network Virtualization to host and isolate the tenant networks.

What is custom duty/charge?

Customs duty are charges levied on goods when they cross international borders. It is a tax that is imposed on imported goods. These duties are charged by special authorities and bodies created by local governments and are meant to protect local industries, economies, and businesses.

Do I have to pay customs charges for the print book order?

The orders shipped to the countries that are listed under EU27 will not bear custom charges. They are paid by Packt as part of the order.

A custom duty or localized taxes may be applicable on the shipment and would be charged by the recipient country outside of the EU27 which should be paid by the customer and these duties are not included in the shipping charges been charged on the order.

How do I know my custom duty charges?

The amount of duty payable varies greatly depending on the imported goods, the country of origin and several other factors like the total invoice amount or dimensions like weight, and other such criteria applicable in your country.

For example:

If you live in Mexico, and the declared value of your ordered items is over $ 50, for you to receive a package, you will have to pay additional import tax of 19% which will be $ 9.50 to the courier service.
Whereas if you live in Turkey, and the declared value of your ordered items is over € 22, for you to receive a package, you will have to pay additional import tax of 18% which will be € 3.96 to the courier service.

How can I cancel my order?

Cancellation Policy for Published Printed Books:

You can cancel any order within 1 hour of placing the order. Simply contact customercare@packt.com with your order details or payment transaction id. If your order has already started the shipment process, we will do our best to stop it. However, if it is already on the way to you then when you receive it, you can contact us at customercare@packt.com using the returns and refund process.

Please understand that Packt Publishing cannot provide refunds or cancel any order except for the cases described in our Return Policy (i.e. Packt Publishing agrees to replace your printed book because it arrives damaged or material defect in book), Packt Publishing will not accept returns.

What is your returns and refunds policy?

What tax is charged?

Currently, no tax is charged on the purchase of any print book (subject to change based on the laws and regulations). Hyper-V Network Virtualization Cookbook ...I really like about this book is the author has done an excellent job of explaining all very nicely. This book would be useful to any Hyper-V user on virtually any version of Hyper-V because it explains why you would make certain choices rather than walking through a step by step series of screen shots. If you're just getting started with Hyper-V, this is an excellent book.

Positive and Negative feedback welcome.Hyper-V Network Virtualization Cookbook is a valuable resource for any admin looking to understand and implement a full-featured SCVMM network infrastructure.The Hyper-V Network Virtualization Cookbook is a focused, step-by-step resource for understanding System Center Virtual Machine Manager networking, which is arguably the most complex component of the SCVMM/Hyper-V environment. I found the recipes for every step, including foundational components like services, groups and policies, to installing SQL and SCVMM, to configuring Logical Networks, Port Profiles, Logical Switches, Network Isolation and Network ACLs helpful in understanding not only the concepts, but also the flow for implementing them. The Microsoft approach is very different from other technologies, such as from VMware or Citrix, and the book provides concise "learning by doing" sections. It also keeps a very enterprise mindset and includes highly-available designs.There are two drawbacks to the book. First is the title. It book is geared to SCVMM and not the basic, out-of-the box Hyper-V networking (which is relatively easy to grasp and doesn't need too much explanation). Second, it doesn't cover installing Hyper-V, though this task isn't too difficult either and is covered in other books. By the time you look at SCVMM, you probably have a good understanding of Hyper-V.

He explains how to clear the network under Hyper-V virtualization.There is clear explanation, with the images and screenshots for better understanding."I love parties" How it Works "and How to di it".Configurations are explained via the GUI and via Powershell.No need to have great skills for used this book.This book allows to have good knowledge on the virtualization of the network under Hyper-V.
