Configuring resource accounts
Resource accounts are used to route calls to two Teams voice applications – Auto Attendants and Call Queues. Depending on the scenario, a resource account may need a phone number assigned to it.
The flow chart in Figure 13.1 shows an overview of how to provision a resource account, based on whether it will have a phone number associated with it.
If the resource account requires a phone number, a Phone System Virtual User license needs to be assigned to that resource account. The Phone System Virtual User license is a special no-cost SKU to be used with resource accounts that require a phone number:
