Summary
In this chapter, we covered the design of our tax calculator application. We looked at wireframes and broke down each element into SwiftUI components. We then implemented the SwiftUI components to match the design from the wireframes. We also took a look at the requirements for building this application, and the design specifications, which looked at the features a tax calculator app can have. Then, we simplified it to the core features our app will provide. We further advanced in the design specifications with acceptance criteria for what we would like our app to do. We also looked at how external libraries can be integrated to provide additional functionality.
In the next chapter, we’ll take a look at implementing the tax calculation backend functionality and tying the two views together.
