The entire concept of the public cloud is based on the premise that you can easily utilize and integrate the cloud services using APIs, SDKs, and REST web services. Another layer to this paradigm is the higher-level automation and orchestration services that cloud providers have created, which make it even easier to leverage the true power of cloud with less human intervention and thereby enable self-healing, autoscalable applications. Apart from this, developers can now assume greater responsibility to manage the full stack of their application environment on their own rather than have a separate ops team that they had to rely on earlier. This enables rapid releases, faster time to market, and increased agility in the application development lifecycle.
