Summary
As we worked through this chapter, we learned several techniques and workflows to further analyze and refine our subdivision design. This chapter took us through the advanced modeling and analysis capabilities of corridors and utilities, both gravity and pressure networks. These workflows are considered advanced and can get complicated as they layer upon each other in real-world projects. Tools covered are typically best handled by either a BIM model manager or senior-level designer who has intimate design application knowledge and is up to speed on design requirements that should be adhered to; with the chapters in this book, hopefully, you can make your way to that level much faster. We’ve also built on our comprehension and understanding of our foundational tool belts by truly elevating our skillsets to accommodate different situations we encounter throughout the design process, making us better prepared to update designs on the fly and improve our final product.
